Modi In Germany

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today arrived in Hannover on the second leg of his three-nation tour during which he will seek Germany's support for his 'Make in India' campaign.

During his three-day stay in Germany, the Prime Minister will meet German Chancellor Angela Merkel and German business leaders.

He is expected to invite German companies to invest in India and participate in 'Make in India' initiative. Business and technology will be the focus of the trip.

He will first visit the Hannover Fair where India is a partner country this year.

About 400 Indian companies are participating in the fair which will see the presence of about 100-120 Indian CEOs besides about 3000 German delegates.

PM Modi, along with Chancellor Merkel, will inaugurate the 'India Pavilion' of the Fair and address an India-German business summit.

He will also unveil a bust of Mahatma Gandhi in Hannover. The two leaders will have detailed talks in Berlin with focus on how Germany can work with India in its developmental agenda.

The Prime Minister will visit a railway station in Berlin amid his government's agenda of modernising Railways. He will also visit Siemens facility there.

The two leaders will address the Hannover Fair Business Summit, which focuses on the possibilities for promoting trade and industrial cooperation between India and Germany.

They will hold detailed discussions on various aspects of bilateral relations and international issues of "mutual interest" at their official talks in Berlin on Tuesday.

Germany is India's largest trading partner in the EU and one of the top ten global trading partners.

The overall exchange of goods and services between the two countries was valued at around around 15.96 billion euros last year, a drop of 1.14 billion euros from the level of 16.10 billion euros registered in 2013.

While India's exports to Germany rose marginally to 7.03 billion euros in 2014, its German imports dropped to 8.92 billion euros from 9.19 euros in the previous year, according to the Federal Statistical Office.

Germany is the 8th largest foreign investor in India. Its foreign direct investments in India during January-November 2014 was valued at around $ 995.7 million.

More than 1,600 Indo-German collaborations and around 600 Indo-German joint ventures are currently in operation.

Linux, OS X and more open to attack

Shellshock flaw in Terminal on a Mac
Apparently, the internet has more deep-seated security bugs to worry about thanHeartbleed. Researchers have discovered a longstanding flaw in a common Unix command shell (bash) for Linux and Macs that lets attackers run any code they want as soon as the shell starts running. They can effectively get control of any networked device that runs bash, even if there are limits on the commands remote users can try. That's a big problem when a large chunk of the internet relies on the shell for everyday tasks -- many web servers will call on it when they're running scripts, for example.

There are already patches for multiple Linux variants (CentOS, Debian, Redhat), and big internet services like Akamai have already taken action. However, the age and sheer ubiquity of the exploit means that there are some older servers and other internet-connected devices that won't (and in some cases, can't) be fixed. In other words, there's a chance that everything from poorly maintained websites to your home security camera will remain vulnerable. Some devices will be protected, however, as security researcher Paul McMillan notes that many embedded devices "use BusyBox, which is not vulnerable." It's unlikely that hackers will breach many of the major sites you visit thanks to their quick responses to the flaw, and many of your existing gadgets are probably safe. Having said this, it's hard to know exactly how far reaching the damage may be -- it could take years before there's no longer a significant threat.

New-Gen Mahindra Scorpio Revealed

Front fascia of soon-to-launch Mahindra Scorpio facelift is new, with a redesigned front grille, bumpers, headlamps and fog lamps. Front grille is shorter, and vertical slats are blacked out, to look aggressive. Chrome ornament surrounding Mahindra badge is removed. Another prominent enhancement is sleek looking smoked headlamps, which now house two headlights each, one for low, and other for high beam. New headlamps on 2014 Scorpio feature LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL). Subtle streak on top of grille complimenting DRLs on either side is an appreciable touch. Front bumper is muscular with new fog lamp enclosures aligning with headlamp design. Bonnet lines on new gen Scorpio are more flamboyant, and air scoop is redesigned. Outside Rear View Mirror (ORVM) looks similar to earlier model

Rear guise of new generation Scorpio receives substantial changes not in terms of basic structure or silhouette, but trims/accents look new. Rear glass area is notably reduced by new rear door design that incorporates new matte black motif that surrounds number plate recess, and runs widthwise. There is also a new silver-esque surround for licence plate region. On either side of rear windshield, there are sizeable handles that will aid in entering/exiting, or to reach overhead. Another conspicuous mod in new Mahindra Scorpio is clear lensed rear lamp assembly which houses crescent or D shaped tail lights bordering orange and blue lights. Centre stop lamp which used to be mounted on rear lip spoiler is moved to lower position, above rear wind screen. New five spoke alloy wheels look trendy and does justice to overall car appearance.

Booking for new Mahindra Scorpio facelift is open at all dealerships as well as on Snapdeal for Rs. 20,000. Delivery/waiting period is approximately 4 to 6 weeks from launch date. Mahindra plans to sell more than usual 50,000 units per year, and gears up for an auspicious start this festive season.

THINK DIFFERENT TO MAKE IT REUSE

Coca Cola teamed up with award-winning ad agency Ogilvy & Mather China on a new “2nd Lives” campaign and created 16 red screw-on caps that transform the otherwise-useless left-over plastic bottle into something creative, fun and usable. This environmentally friendly campaign launched in Vietnam, where 40,000 free caps will be given away when purchasing the iconic soda drink.
These fun caps transform the used beverage bottles into a lamp, a paintbrush, a spray bottle, a pencil sharpener, a soap dispenser, and many other usable objects. Graham Fink, the chief creative officer of Ogilvy & Mather China, explains the idea behind the project: “We have created fun tools with Coke bottle tops, bringing small moments of happiness into people’s lives.“
With the creativity of this campaign and the good cause behind it, this could easily be one of Coca Cola’s best campaigns ever. Don’t forget to check out the video to see how all the different caps are used.
